Today I’m going to walk you through everything from the supplies I use, to how I blend my paint and even show you how to complete your first oil painting!

Oil painting has this reputation for being a more advanced medium to work in. People think it’s going to be too hard and everyone’s heard about the trouble with muddy colors. I will let you in on a little secret; Oil painting is one of the easier mediums to work in IF you know how to use mixing medium and when to let your paint dry between layers.

First let’s look at the supplies I used (amazon affiliate links):

Make sure that you’re cleaning your brushes well if you want them to last longer than a couple of uses.
