Acrylic Painting Lesson
This one was from a Smart Art Box and done with Creative Impressions acrylic paints. These are a very low budget acrylic paint. While I won’t be replacing my Liquitex with them, they weren’t terrible…which surprised me. I normally can’t stand using budget acrylics. These paints are marketed for classrooms or paint party environments rather than the serious artist, but if someone just wanted to give acrylics a try, you can get a set of them online for around $15. The main drawback is that they were glossy. Fine for this style but they wouldn’t work with transfer paper or a white charcoal pencil as I generally use with acrylics. They did blend quite nicely though.
I am always happy to have you copy my work for your own practice. Be aware of what reference photo I used, sometimes you will need to purchase the photo from the photographer to use even for practice. I will let you know when that is the case. As a general rule, you can not copy my work and make prints/sell that work. I retain copyright of the work I complete.
If you follow one of my lessons, you are more than welcome to post your work on social media to share what you’ve done, as long as you include in your post that you followed one of my lessons.
You can always use my techniques in your own designs and reference photos!
