Simple Studio Essentials I Actually Use

This week is for oil and acrylic artists! These are all items I’ve purchased myself and love!

Artify Paintbrushes

Why I love These

  •  Budget friendly
  •  Perfect firmness
  •  Huge selection
  •  Works great

I don’t like spending a lot on my oil and acrylic brushes. Luckily for me, there are some amazing budget friendly options that work great. I especially love the round brushes in these sets for details. These are a synthetic hog hair that are more stiff than my usual taklon bristled brushes.

Why I love These

  • Budget friendly
  • Doesn’t get sucked up by the vacuum
  • Easy to clean

This isn’t a nice soft fluffy rug, and that’s what makes it perfect for my studio. My fluffy rugs get sucked up by my vacuum. This one is a bit more firm making it easy to clean. Spilled paint can be washed up pretty well because of that! This would be perfect for under your easel to protect your floors.

Why I love These

  • Doesn’t require tools to install
  • Looks great with every style of painting
  • Has hanging hardware already attached

These float frames make any painting look more complete. You use velcro tabs to stick the painting to the frame itself. There is a hanger already on the back so it’s instantly ready for the wall! This is best for stretched canvases, not canvas boards.

Why I love These

  • All lightfast colors
  • Perfect limited color palette where all the colors have been chosen to mix with eachother to get a TON of other colors
  • Blend beautifully
  • Amazing color saturation

I’ve worked with Lyra to currate my own set of pencils from their existing colored pencil colors! This set is perfect for bright vivid wildlife and floral paintings! It is only available in the US.
