Lachri's Studio Finds
Simple Studio Essentials I Actually Use
Sometimes the best art studio supplies aren’t necessarily made for artists! This week, I’m sharing a couple of unconventional finds that have some surprisingly useful applications in the studio. We’re looking at creative ways to use stencils in your artwork that you may not have considered, along with a handy way to repurpose spice racks to organize your paint tubes. Sometimes all it takes is looking at an everyday item a little differently to find a great solution for your art or studio!
Why I love These
- Reusable
- Tons of different types
- Easy and fast results
I LOVE stencils as the background for my more realistic subjects. It creates such a fun contrast. You can make it look like a wallpaper in the background or just a fun accent. Plus it makes a background super fast!
Why I love These
- Creates the space look fast
- Reusable
- Best for Airbrushing
This stencil is best for airbrushing. I love it for creating my space scenes quickly. I layer a light color with the stencil then glaze color over that. It comes with 3 shapes so you can overlap to get more depth in the look which is important when painting space!
Why I love These
- Tons of options to find the look that fits your style
- Holds a lot of paint tubes
- Keeps the paint on display in a way that makes them easy to find the color you’re looking for
Spice racks hold way more than just spices! I’m using these floating shelves which aren’t available right now, but I’ve linked a few different types that look so useful for the art studio!!
