For this demonstration, I’m working on Canson Mi-Teintes in light blue. This paper has a feel almost like construction paper, but not as rough. It has a really nice amount of tooth, just right to get lots of detail and smooth blending, but more than my usual Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed watercolor paper. The tooth on this paper allowed me to get a lot of color saturation very quickly without worrying about my pencil strokes showing after blending with odorless mineral spirits.

I used Faber-Castell Polychromos and Caran d’Ache Luminance colored pencils for this piece.
