When I used to have carpet in my studio, I always put this down before I moved in the furniture. That way it was held down and I could still vacuum it regularly. Throw a cheap area rug over it to make the room look cuter while still protecting the carpet under.

If you’ve been painting flat on a table, save your back and neck by using an easel. I avoid light weight A frames, they fall over and slide back while painting. Instead, choose an H frame.
