For this demonstration, I’m showing you how you can create the same look with inktense pencils as you can with the blocks by using a simple trick! I’ve also got a tip on painting stars in Inktense!
If you would like to use my Koala reference photo from this painting, I’ve made it available for you over at Patreon. This is available to anyone, even if you’re not a member!
Supplies used: (Amazon affiliate links)
- Fabriano Artistico Extra White Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper
- Inktense 72 pencil set
- Various taklon and synthetic hog hair brushes (mostly rounds and filberts with a couple of flats and liner brushes)
- Faber-Castell water soluble pencil set to draw out my initial outline. I use water soluble pencils for this to avoid pencil lines in my finished work.
The hour long version of this tutorial is available for supporters on Patreon to watch now!! If you’re unfamiliar with Patreon, you get access to my 1-2 hour long tutorials every single week for as little as $4/month!
