3 Simple Essentials for an Organized & Inspiring Studio

Lachri's Studio Finds

Small things can make a big difference in your creative space. These three favorites help me stay organized, work more efficiently, and enjoy the process even more!

Simple Tools. More creativity.

Wood Pencil Storage Boxes

These boxes are my absolute favorite way to organize and store my colored pencils. A 3 drawer box can hold your standard full pencil sets. I have one for each type of colored pencil I use, one for Caran d’Ache Luminance, one for my Faber Castell Polychromos, one for my Derwent Lightfast and another for my Lyra Rembrandt. Within each box I organize by color. This makes it SO easy to find the exact pencil I’m looking for. No frustration, no wasted art time looking for the right color. For my smaller color sets I use the two drawer box. If you also want room for your extra pencils, the 4 drawer box is great!

Mason Jars

You may even have these in your house already. Old spaghetti jars even work! I use these jars to hold the pencils I’m currently working with on a piece. This way I can easily keep track of which colors I’m using. I also use these jars to hold my extra pencils, paint brushes, charcoal, and even my pencil shavings when I sharpen them. I have these ALL over my studio, they are just SO useful!

Mr Pen Pencil Sharpener 6 pack

These hard working little sharpeners are great! They are budget friendly and work perfectly. That’s a win win for me!
