This week we’re working in mixed media! I will be drawing a butterflyfish in charcoal with the yellow fins drawn in colored pencil! What do you need to consider when mixing these mediums? We will talk all about that and more!

This is the reference photo I will be using. This photo comes from a member (Pcon) over at the best saltwater fish forum on the interwebs, Humble.Fish. This was the winning photo from a recent giveaway I held there.

Because this finished drawing will be going to the winner of that photo, I will be auctioning off a different painting during the livestream, this yellow tang in acrylics!

We all need to be reminded “Don’t drink the paint water”  and other fun artist sayings.
