It’s entirely possible I was a bit obsessed with Game of Thrones when I chose the subject for this colored pencil tutorial. My reference photo for this howling white wolf comes from wildlifereferencephotos.com. I’ve completed this piece on Fabriano Artistico Extra white Hot pressed 140lb watercolor paper. My background was airbrushed with createx airbrush paints and my wolf with Luminance from Caran d’Ache  and Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils.

The colors that I used were-

Luminance: Black, white, burnt sienna 50%, light cobalt blue, sepia, ultramarine violet, french grey 10%, sepia 50%, violet brown, paynes grey 50%, french grey 30%, steel grey, violet grey, sepia 10%, buff titanium, french grey

Polychromos: Warm grey III, caput mortuum, burnt sienna, sky blue, warm grey IV, burnt umber, cobalt blue, van-dyke-brown, cold grey IV, dark sepia, warm grey VI, Mauve, cold grey III, ultramarine, raw umber, black

In this video I will walk you through the steps I took to complete this painting
