This month’s box was a lot of fun for me, I got to try a different type of acrylic paint! This paint one was much better than I had expected for one that isn’t marketed for professionals. It blended quite well for the loose style I was going for in my winter landscape.
If you’re unfamiliar with what the Smart Art Box is, it’s a monthly subscription box where every month they send you a box full of different art supplies and a lesson on how to use that medium. That lesson is my favorite part because if it’s a medium you’ve not used before, you’re not going to feel totally lost. For more info, check out SmartArtBox.com (that is my affiliate link).
In this month’s box we got
- 6 tubes of 120ml Creative Inspirations acrylic paint
- 3 pack of Simply Simmons oil and acrylic brushes
- plastic paint palette
- Pink Soap brush cleaner
- Creative mark 8×10 canvas
There will be a LOT of left over paint when you’re done with this project. That is one of the best parts about these boxes. You get full sized supplies, not samples.
If you would like to try out my version of this winter landscape, here is my line drawing. Yes that is really what I started with haha 🙂
