Part 1 – Drawing the hummingbirds and airbrushing the bokeh background

Part 2, Drawing the leaves and berries

See how I draw hummingbirds and realistic leaves and berries in this colored pencil demonstration! I’m sharing tips and techniques to make your nature drawings more realistic!

Supplies used:

I’m working on Fabriano Artistico extra white Hot Pressed 140lb watercolor paper.

I’ve used createx airbrush paint for my background along with Winsor & Newton masking fluid and frisket to block off my subject while airbrushing.

My pencils are Polychromos and Luminance with a Derwent Drawing Chinese White.

My fine white details are being painted on with my mixture of Touch Up Texture and Colored Pencil Titanium White Powder from http://brushandpencil.com
